Americans With Disabilities Act

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is an “equal opportunity” law for people with disabilities. It is one of America’s most comprehensive pieces of civil rights legislation that prohibits discrimination and guarantees that people with disabilities have the same opportunities as everyone else to participate in the mainstream of American life.

Bridgerland Technical College does not discriminate in the recruitment, admission, educational process, or treatment of students with disabilities. The College provides students with disabilities the same opportunity to engage in educational experiences as nondisabled students. Students who have voluntarily disclosed that they have a disability and requested reasonable accommodations are entitled to receive approved modifications of programs, appropriate adjustments, or auxiliary aids that enable them to participate in all educational programs and activities.
