Bridgerland Technical College

VA Education Benefits

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) provides education benefits to eligible service members, Veterans, and certain dependents and survivors. Veterans and other eligible persons may receive financial support for technical training and apprenticeships like those available at Bridgerland Technical College. If you served on Active Duty with an honorable discharge, are currently serving in the military, are a spouse or child of a service member-- tuition and fee payments or monthly stipends may be available to assist with the costs of getting an education. Access and manage your VA benefits online at https://www.va.gov/, or call the VA directly at 1-888-GI BILL (888-442-4551). Links to benefit information and services may also be available from https://www.benefits.va.gov.

Follow the Veterans Checklist to make accessing your benefits at the College a smooth process. If you have any questions, contact the VA's school certifying official at the college by calling (435) 750-3114 to schedule an appointment.

The Utah State Approving Agency for Veterans Education approves Bridgerland Technical College and its programs for payment of VA education benefits.

Veterans and other eligible persons receiving VA education benefits must meet satisfactory progress and attendance requirements to continue to receive benefits. These requirements are contained in the Veteran or Eligible Student Enrollment Addendum. As stated in this agreement, veterans and other eligible persons not maintaining satisfactory progress and/or attendance may have their benefits discontinued. Students receiving VA education benefits are also required to adhere to student conduct and other school policies.

College Financing Plan/Shopping Sheet

In compliance with the Principles of Excellence for Educational Institutions Serving Service Members, Veterans, Spouses, and Other Family Members, (Executive Order 13607), and Section 1018 of Public Law 116-315, Bridgerland Technical College provides a Shopping Sheet, or College Financing Plan/Shopping Sheet, a federal financial aid consumer tool to make students aware of their financial cost to attend school. It is a standardized form designed to simplify the information students receive about costs and financial aid. Use the College Financing Plan/Shopping Sheet to determine an estimate of the cost you and your family will need to pay during the year in order to cover your education expenses.
