The Media Design certificate ensures that upon graduation, students have obtained the knowledge and experience necessary to be successfully in the media design industry.
The Media Design certificate offers students a wide variety of courses throughout the areas of: Computer Graphics, Digital Publishing, Web Design, Multimedia/Video Production, and 3D Modeling and Animation.
Students are given full flexibility in their choice of electives. This allows each student to tailor and create a course path that customizes their learning experience to the student’s specific interest.
Students are expected to work, and excel in a self-paced learning environment, but individualized help is given when needed.
Students are provided access to industry leading software and personalized training to gain the skills needed to secure employment. In addition to providing students the necessary skills to gain full employment and succeed in the media design and computer graphics field, this certificate can be applied into Utah State’s Associate of Applied Technology degree.

Industry is in need of skilled media designers for jobs in print layout, digital publishing, branding, and web design. Local media design employment can be very competitive, so in addition to skills learned, students develop portfolios and projects that put them in the forefront when opportunities open up. Students focusing on 3D modeling and animation develop the skills needed to continue on in programs focused on video game development, animation production, and movie CGI.
This certificate is also excellent for people who want to start their own business. Graduates have successfully launched web design studios, photography businesses, digital video services, and freelance contractors doing 3D modeling.
Bridgerland Technical College is open year round. Most programs are open-entry, which means you can start the program at the first of every month as long as there is space available in the program. Because of demand, some programs have waiting lists to get in to the program. Please contact Student Services for information on those programs with waiting lists and defined starting dates.

Bridgerland Technical College participates in a variety of assistance programs that aid students in covering the costs associated with enrollment in full-time certificate programs. The Financial Aid Office provides information for grants, scholarships, and VA education benefits. Bridgerland Technical College does not participate in or endorse any loan program. Most certificates take about one year to complete. Each individual certificate page has tuition and fee amounts listed. Students can be setup on a payment plan and make payments each month (due on the 1st).
