The employment outlook for veterinary assistant/pre-vet technicians is expected to grow 14 percent (about as fast as average) through 2020 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Job openings will stem from an increase of pet owners who are willing to pay for advanced care for pets they consider to be part of their family.
