With two bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics and a rewarding career in software engineering, Troy’s journey to BTECH marks the next step towards his dream of owning his own business.

He sees his future business as a means to not only create products people love but also contribute to the future of manufacturing in the United States. He credits his motivation to Wes Chambers, whose passion for machining and education inspired him to excel in the program.

Despite a challenging experience with a costly mistake, Troy found solace in the supportive environment fostered by BTECH’s instructors. From riding motorcycles to building mechanical keyboards and Gundam scale models, Gavin’s hobbies all revolve around creation and design.

His passion for tinkering and modifying things to fit his personality spills over into his professional life as a Controls Engineer.

As a Controls Engineer, Gavin thrives on creating and improving automation systems. His dedication to his craft and his relentless pursuit of excellence make him a standout performer in his field.
