Bridgerland Technical College Fashion Show Fall 2017
The 2017 Fall Fashion Show was a whirlwind of the seasons hottest trends, bold hair and make up, great music, thematic lighting, unique staging effects and an incredible group of models! The theme for this show was, FASHION: State of Emergency and the variety and mash up of classic styles with retro and new did not disappoint.
Students put together coordinated outfits and accessories from the following local retailers: Bohme, Buckle, Old Navy, and Rue 21. Some of the highlights of the fall trends were: jewel tones, 90’s inspired athletic and bomber jackets, weathered flannels and classic denim on denim looks. There were also two custom designed sets in this show. “Split Pattern”, was designed by Fashion Merchandising and Development student, Stephanie Morely. It was a fusion of patterns, asymmetrical hems, cut-outs and pieced together fabric creating a perfect harmony of split patterns! The other set was designed by several students working together to highlight the glitz and glam of metallic’s this fall! Hair and make-up by Cosmetology/Barbering students and Studio 170 Salon & Spa provided the final touch for each model and the overall coordinated sets! All of the students put together a fantastic show from trend forecasting, researching local trends, writing choreography, selecting music, creating advertising elements, backdrop construction to writing up merchandise, modeling in the show and returning all loaned items! Not a detail was missed and the show went off without a hitch back to back nights! Job well done to another incredibly talented and hard working group of students!
