Tim MacNair – Practical Nursing
My name is Tim MacNair, and I graduated from Practical Nursing in December of 2009. From there I attended Weber State University for both my Associate and Bachelor Degrees in Nursing. Professionally, I have worked on an Acute Behavioral Health Unit, a Progressive Care Unit, and a Shock Trauma ICU. During this time, I held positions such as a Charge Nurse, a Risk Manager, and a Home Healthcare Nurse Case Manager. After working as an LPN and RN for 6 years, I completed my Masters of Nursing at Kaiser Permanente School of Anesthesia/CSU Fullerton to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Today I provide anesthesia services at a small community hospital.
Looking back, none of my professional or educational endeavors would have been possible without the strong foundation I received from Bridgerland Technical College. Even in my current practice, I still utilize the knowledge I gained through the pharmaceutical classes, simulation labs, and various clinical sites. The instructors truly cared about my education and success as a nurse, and many have remained in contact with me to this day. For the last 20 years, Practical Nursing has provided the community with exceptional nurses. I am proud to say that I am a Bridgerland Technical College graduate.
