Career Days
On May 1st and 2nd, Bridgerland Technical College was pleased to host its annual Career Days for over 4000 Cache Valley middle school students.
It was a fun and exciting day for both participants and those involved in the creation of the event. All of our fantastic programs provided activities and demonstrations for the participating students.
The students involved appeared fascinated by our programs and the possibilities they held for their futures. Some of the unique activities included making a building model out of toothpicks and marshmallows, presented by our Drafting program. Our Dental Assisting program provided a wack-a-“mole” game, with students underneath the booth pushing “molars” through the hole.
Other programs gave hands-on demonstrations such as the activity provided by our Automotive Service program teaching children to change a tire with real power tools.
The Fire and Rescue Services program allowed participants put on gear and unroll hoses and shoot water through them.
Lunch was also provided by our talented Culinary Arts program. Not only did our programs participate in this inspiring event, but we were also pleased to have booths from local businesses. This showed students ways to see the different career options and how Bridgerland Technical College can help them to get those jobs one day.
