Thank You Rocky Mountain Power Foundation – Scholarship Donation!
BTECH extended heartfelt thanks to the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation for its recent
scholarship donation, which directly supported students pursuing technical education and career
advancement.
The Rocky Mountain Power Foundation’s contribution reflects a shared commitment to building
a skilled workforce and ensuring that financial barriers do not stand in the way of students’
success. By supporting scholarships, the Foundation helps students gain the education and
training needed to turn their career ambitions into reality.
BTECH showcased its appreciation by recognizing the Foundation during the “Get the Scoop”
event on September 29th, 2025. The Rocky Mountain Power Foundation logo appeared in
event materials as a gesture of gratitude for its impactful gift.
President Chad Campbell expresses, “We’re grateful to the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation
for their commitment to helping students succeed. Their generosity not only changes individual
lives but strengthens the entire community by preparing skilled professionals who power Utah’s

Hunter Schaugaard: Platinum Performer for Electronics Technology

Meet Hunter Schaugaard, an enthusiastic Electronics Technology student with a passion for the outdoors. Whether riding his motorcycle, watching movies, playing games, or indulging in his favorite pastime—hockey—Hunter is always up for an adventure. He even holds the record for the most deliveries per hour as a FedEx driver!
Hunter chose Bridgerland Technical College for its affordable tuition, hands-on work, and supportive instructors. The combination of studying and practical projects kept him engaged and excited about his education. His curiosity about how internal components of electronics work and a desire to learn how to solder drove him to pursue this program.
Hunter advises future students to review and fully understand the material before moving on, as concepts build upon each other. He encourages students to ask for help whenever needed, as the teachers are dedicated to their success. His biggest inspiration is his dad, who has shown him the value of hard work and education, providing unwavering support and advice along the way.
After graduation, Hunter plans to seek a job in Automation Manufacturing. He hopes to work four 10-hour shifts and earn $60k+ a year while continuing to play hockey. He also hopes to return to BTECH to further his education in robotics. One of his most memorable moments at BTECH was helping 4H kids learn to solder, seeing their satisfaction and gaining a sense of accomplishment himself. Brailee Tyler: Platinum Performer for Digital Design

Meet Brailee, a dynamic Digital Design student whose passions range from off-roading in her Jeep to spending quality time with her family. She finds nothing more exhilarating and empowering than conquering seemingly impossible obstacles in her 1995 Jeep YJ Rio Grande. Sharing her off-roading adventures on her Instagram page @brailee4x4, Brailee thrives on adrenaline and loves spending her free time outdoors.
Brailee chose Bridgerland Technical College because it allowed her to achieve her goals while staying close to her family in Wyoming. The hands-on learning approach and affordable tuition made BTECH the perfect fit for her. No other college she attended matched the fulfillment and success she experienced at BTECH, making it the best educational choice for her.
With dreams of starting her own design business, Brailee aims to combine her love for off-roading with her design skills. She plans to focus on vehicle designs and wraps while sharing her adventures on social media. After graduation, she looks forward to moving back home and building her business, enjoying the flexibility it offers and planning numerous Jeep trips. Brailee’s advice to new students is that it’s never too late to learn something new or pursue a different path. Inspired by her resilient brothers and supportive parents, she has learned that hard work and determination can overcome any challenge. Her most memorable moment at BTECH was the “aha” moment when she realized she was truly succeeding. Kyle Bohrer: Platinum Performer for Emergency Medical Technician

Meet Kyle, an adventurous student who loves rock climbing, backpacking, and snowboarding. Kyle enjoys capturing moments through film photography when he’s not out in nature. His love for adventure and helping others led him to the best program at Bridgerland Technical College.
Kyle’s goal is to become a life-flight paramedic, a role that combines his passion for emergency medical services with his love for excitement. He plans to continue gaining certifications to advance his career. One of his most memorable experiences at BTECH was participating in a mock call with instructor Chris, which highlighted the hands-on, practical training that the program offers.
Kyle advises future Emergency Medical Technician students to form study groups and find a consistent support system. Learning from others and working together has been invaluable in his journey. Inspired by his mother, who recently graduated and started teaching, Kyle knows the importance of dedication and perseverance.
Reflecting on his time at BTECH, Kyle is grateful for the support from all his instructors who have helped him along the way. Their guidance and expertise have been crucial to his success. Join us in celebrating Kyle Bohrer, our Emergency Medical Technician Platinum Performer!
Tana Lyman: Platinum Performer for Practical Nursing

Meet Tana, a passionate nursing student who loves spending time with her husband. Whether they’re skiing, hiking, reading, watching movies, or attending concerts, Tana enjoys every moment with her best friend. She also has an adventurous goal to step foot on all seven continents—three down, four to go!
Tana chose Bridgerland Technical College for its top-rated Practical Nursing program, affordable tuition, and the ability to stay in Cache Valley while earning her degree. Recommendations from a former coworker and the school’s impressive reputation solidified her decision. She has felt incredibly supported throughout her journey at BTECH, and the Lawson Nursing Scholars Program Scholarship has been a highlight, lifting a financial burden and affirming her choice of profession.
Determined to make a significant impact in her patients’ lives, Tana aims to go above and beyond the basic duties of a nurse. Inspired by the compassionate care her brother received during a severe illness, she aspires to be like those nurses who made a difficult situation bearable. Tana dreams of combining her passions for travel and nursing by joining an organization like “Doctors Without Borders” and plans to continue her education to achieve her RN, BSN, and possibly MSN.
Her advice to future nursing students: Be teachable and adaptable. Nursing is a field of continual learning and adjustment, so staying humble and flexible is key. Reflecting on her experience, Tana appreciates the supportive faculty, affordable tuition, and accessible resources at BTECH, which have made learning a priority. Regan Meyer: Platinum Performer for Culinary Arts

Meet Regan, a culinary enthusiast whose passion for creativity and learning knows no bounds. When she’s not whipping up delicious dishes, you can find her painting, sketching, decorating, reading, or pressing flowers from her hikes. She thrives on keeping her hands busy and her mind clear, always putting her heart into everything she does.
Regan chose Bridgerland Technical College for its unique learning environment, self-paced program, and hands-on experience with seasoned instructors. The college’s proximity to her parents’ meeting place and a home filled with dear memories made it a perfect fit.
For Regan, the food industry, though challenging, is incredibly rewarding. Inspired by the idea of becoming an Army cook to provide comfort to soldiers, she plans to travel and gain as much knowledge and experience as possible after graduation. Her advice to future students is to make a plan and use BTECH as a tool to shape their future, taking full advantage of the resources provided. Reflecting on her journey, Regan shares how her love for cooking was influenced by her mother and grandmother. The decision to pursue culinary arts was solidified in the summer of 2023. The warm welcome she received at BTECH, with her Student Success Advisor, instructors, and students making her feel at home, has made her experience unforgettable. Dreaming of running his own welding empire one day, Cayden knows the value of hard work. Inspired by his dad’s relentless dedication, he’s ready to tackle any challenge that comes his way.
