FFA Skills Competition at Bridgerland Technical College

Bridgerland Technical College was thrilled to host the State FFA Competition this week and it was a
total success!

FFA students spent the morning touring Animal Sciences and competing in their chosen event. In the afternoon, the students made their way over to Meat Services to continue the competition.

Aside from the pure fun that comes from competition, there were also some pretty amazing
awards given to the students with the highest scores. This included thousands of dollars in scholarship money.

Jason Rindlisbacher, the Meat Services instructor at Bridgerland Technical College said that he loves this event because participants have great exposure to the meat industry. “I was introduced to the meat industry through this FFA competition and it has turned into a rewarding career. Hosting this event feels good, it feels like it gives me the chance to pay something back.”

We want to thank Animal Sciences and Meat Services for their help in making this
event go smoothly. We also are so happy to host students that are so dedicated to their passion
in FFA. We have full confidence in their abilities and wish them a fantastic future.
