Hunter Schaugaard: Platinum Performer for Electronics Technology

Meet Hunter Schaugaard, an enthusiastic Electronics Technology student with a passion for the outdoors. Whether riding his motorcycle, watching movies, playing games, or indulging in his favorite pastime—hockey—Hunter is always up for an adventure. He even holds the record for the most deliveries per hour as a FedEx driver!

Hunter chose Bridgerland Technical College for its affordable tuition, hands-on work, and supportive instructors. The combination of studying and practical projects kept him engaged and excited about his education. His curiosity about how internal components of electronics work and a desire to learn how to solder drove him to pursue this program.

Hunter advises future students to review and fully understand the material before moving on, as concepts build upon each other. He encourages students to ask for help whenever needed, as the teachers are dedicated to their success. His biggest inspiration is his dad, who has shown him the value of hard work and education, providing unwavering support and advice along the way.

After graduation, Hunter plans to seek a job in Automation Manufacturing. He hopes to work four 10-hour shifts and earn $60k+ a year while continuing to play hockey. He also hopes to return to BTECH to further his education in robotics. One of his most memorable moments at BTECH was helping 4H kids learn to solder, seeing their satisfaction and gaining a sense of accomplishment himself. Join us in celebrating Hunter Schaugaard, our Platinum Performer for Electronics Technology! 🎉
