Vance Briggs – BTECH Champion

We would like to recognize Vance Briggs as a BTECH Champion! Vance Briggs is an instructor in the Machining Technology program He has embraced the “student quarantine” with positivity and a willingness to find solutions to the many challenges our students and instructors face.

He has embraced the “student quarantine” with positivity and a willingness to find solutions to the many challenges our students and instructors face. Rather than defaulting to just bookwork, Vance decided to have high school students work through MasterCam training remotely.

Vance actively sought out what technology students had access to and set them up with a MasterCam version they could use from home.  Workaround solutions were found for students without these technical capabilities.

Among the many other champions at the College, we recognize Vance for pushing through a difficult time with innovation and a great attitude!
