2021 Educational Sponsorships Help BTECH Kick Off 50th
BTECH wants to thank industry representatives for their support in assisting students and promoting the marvelous happenings at Bridgerland Technical College! We have found that generosity abounds amongst our industry and business friends.
This year, BTECH has been the beneficiary of nearly $100,000 in educational sponsorships that provide funding for high school competitions, career exploration, and celebrations. Of 33 sponsors this year, the top three “Premium Sponsors” include Autoliv, Inc., Schreiber Foods, and Intermountain Healthcare. These sponsors were primarily responsible for BTECH’s 50-year anniversary party on Friday, June 25, in which families and friends came and enjoyed department fun, free food from JBS, Casper’s Ice Cream, live bands, BTECH swag, and water from Niagara Bottling.
Future 2021 events will include a groundbreaking for the new Health Sciences Building, student camps and workshops, fashion shows, and community outreach. These continued activities are made possible by the generosity of Cache Valley organizations that support Bridgerland Technical College. Most of these organizations, such as, Paragon Medical, Harris Research, Ducworks Inc., and Cytiva are nationally recognized for their quality production. No matter where you are in the world, you may be enjoying food and products made locally!
Come by for a free tour of the BTECH campus anytime to meet our faculty, advisors, and students. Their passion for technical education will have you mesmerized at the possibilities!
BTECH Groovy Party a Success!
Bridgerland Technical College wants to thank everyone for making the 50-Year Groovy Party a huge success! Approximately 3,000 people were in attendance showing a positive response from the community.
During the event, representatives from each program shared what BTECH offers in a fun, unique way! For example, Automated Manufacturing had dancing robots, Animal Sciences hosted a petting zoo, and Therapeutic Massage provided a massage booth! The food booths were a big hit, so there was definitely something for everyone!
It was great to see so many smiling faces since the start of the pandemic! Those in attendance mentioned how grateful they were to have something fun they could do with their families in public! We would like to give a big thanks to everyone involved, and we can’t wait to take on similar worthwhile projects in the future!
Breyden Summers – Bridgerland Technical College Student of the Year

Congratulations to Breyden Summers, Bridgerland Technical College’s 2021 Student of the Year! Breyden graduated from the Automated Manufacturing program making this the second 900-hour certificate program he finished while still in high school!
Breyden was introduced to BTECH during his Sophomore year when he saw a poster advertising the AM STEM Academy. He started taking an early-morning class and loved it! Matthew Fuller, one of Breyden’s instructors said that Breyden would come to class early in the morning, after school, and even during the summer to complete the coursework. Additionally, Matthew commented that Breyden demonstrated a real curiosity about automation, automated systems, code, and computer systems because he dove in to understand it.
After graduating high school, Breyden was able to earn a third certificate in the Electronic Engineering Technology program and find employment. Now, Breyden works at Schreiber Foods and is using the knowledge he gained to be successful in his career.
Breyden Summers is definitely an example of what students can achieve if they are willing to work. He demonstrates leadership and dedication that many look up to and admire. We are confident that he is an excellent choice for the 2021 Student of the Year!
