Class Description

The AI for Programming course focuses on using AI tools like Claude Code to support the full software development lifecycle, from initial idea to a working end-to-end application. It covers how to collaborate with AI to write, review, and refine code while following established best practices for structure, readability, and maintainability. The course emphasizes practical workflows, showing how AI can speed up development without sacrificing code quality or clarity.

Key takeaways include learning how to effectively prompt AI for coding tasks, structure projects for scalability, and apply best practices such as modular design, version control, and testing. Learners will build a complete application while gaining experience using AI as a coding partner to debug issues, improve performance, and iterate quickly. Prerequisite

This is not a beginner-level course. Students should have prior programming experience and be comfortable working with at least one programming language, as well as basic development tools and concepts.

BIO

Kaden leads an AI team at Campbell Scientific, where for the past two years he's focused on deploying practical, production-ready AI systems. His work centers on projects like automated workflows, content creation, and customer support, and has already resulted in roughly 25,000 hours of time saved each year through smarter operations. Outside of that role, Kaden runs his own business, Campbell Cyber, with his wife Baileigh. Together they provide tech-consulting services for business owners for AI and other tech needs.
