Class Description
Basic Mastercam is designed for machinists with little to no CAD/CAM experience. The class begins with foundational concepts and progresses through everything needed to become a functional basic programmer by the end of the course.

Geometry Creation
- All 2D geometry creation functions
- Drawing in both X–Y and D–Z planes
- All transform functions
- All wireframe trimming functions
- Colors and geometry styles
- Mastercam hotkeys and quick masks
Toolpath Creation
- All 2D mill and lathe toolpath applications
- Wireframe and solid chaining options
- Tool selection and definition
- Basic speeds and feeds
- General mill and lathe programming basics
- Posting toolpaths
- Brief introduction to G and M code
Class content may be adjusted based on student needs. If there are specific machines or toolpaths that need to be covered, they will be incorporated when possible.
Books & Supplies: Any required books, software, or materials will be communicated prior to the start of training.
