Power Bi - Custom Fit
Power BI Introduction – 12-hour course
Upon completion of this 12-hour course, students will be able to:
- Explain how Power BI can be used to analyze and visualize data for an organization.
- Identify the names and purposes of the different versions of Power BI.
- Connect Power BI to various data sources including a spreadsheet, CSV text file, database, and web-based data sources.
- Use Power BI to prepare data for analysis.
- Create a data model for reporting purposes.
- Create multiple data visualizations in a Power BI report.
- Create a Power BI dashboard.
Power BI Intermediate – 12-hour course
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Determine which visualization is best for communicating information.
- Enhance visualizations with text boxes, shapes, and images.
- Make visualizations interactive with buttons, bookmarks, slicers, and more.
- Create a solid data model with a star schema, date tables, and hierarchies.
- Create DAX calculations and measures.
Required materials vary depending on the course content and the level of customization. Any books, software, equipment, or supplies associated with this class will be communicated directly to participating businesses prior to the training start date.
