Class Description
“RCRA Hazardous Waste Management” is an 8-hour course that teaches the fundamentals of the Environmental Protection Agency’s rules found in 40 CFR Parts 260–279. The course is designed to guide participants through every stage of hazardous waste management.
Training begins with the identification of hazardous waste at its point of origin, followed by proper onsite management practices including waste labeling and storage requirements. Instruction also covers the procedures for shipping hazardous waste offsite to an appropriate treatment, storage, or disposal facility.
The EPA requires annual training for anyone who works with hazardous waste, manages hazardous waste, or supervises employees involved in hazardous waste activities.
Books & Supplies: Any required books, software, or materials will be communicated prior to the start of training.
