Intro to Software Development (Pre-Admission Course)
Accounting I
Students will be introduced to the basic principles and language of accounting. Students will demonstrate record-keeping concepts, including analyzing, journalizing, and posting transactions for a service-based business.
Students will complete the entire accounting cycle, create and analyze financial reports, close the books, and make correcting entries.
Accounting II
Students will expand upon the basic principles of accounting by demonstrating bookkeeping concepts, including analyzing, journalizing, and posting transactions for a merchandising business.
Students will perform all stages of the accounting cycle using special journals and classified financial statements, explore the payroll process, and calculate costs of goods sold for inventory.
This course is competency-based, allowing you to progress at your own pace as your schedule permits while demonstrating your skills and knowledge through a variety of assessments (assignments, concepts and skills reviews, and a final project).
The course is designed to be completed in 60 calendar days. It takes discipline and determination to be successful in online coursework. You are in charge of your progress.
During this time, you will have online access to quizzes, assignments, and correction keys. You will also have access to the Business Technology computer labs as needed.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Individuals are responsible for canceling their registration should they not be able to attend. Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance. Cancellations received before the first day of class will receive a 100% refund. No refunds will be given on or after the first day of class. (Policy 900.920)
