Description

Bridgerland Technical College's Safety Inspection course is a 16-hour class approved by the Utah Highway Patrol. The available certifications for this course are Passenger Vehicles/Light Trucks and Motorcycles. The Heavy Trucks/Trailers/Buses certification is a separate course.
 
The BTECH course includes classroom instruction, shop work, specialty tool training, and study time for the state-mandated final exam.
 
Upon completing the program, participants must score 80% or higher on the final examination and performance checklist. Individuals who successfully complete the training will be prepared to receive their Vehicle Inspection Certification from the Utah Department of Public Safety.
 
State-mandated attendance is 100%. Anyone arriving more than 10 minutes late for class must re-enroll for a future course.

 

Refund Policy

Individuals are responsible for canceling their registration should they not be able to attend. Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance. Cancellations received before the first day of class will receive a 100% refund. No refunds, in whole or in part, will be given on or after the first day of class.

Instructor

Jesse Shaffer is the Department Head of the welding department at Bridgerland Technical College. He is a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and has a Master's Degree in Career and Technical Education from Utah State University. Before being an instructor at Bridgerland, Jesse taught high school Ag and Welding.
