Description

This course will use psychology theory and principles to provide skills-based training for crisis intervention and group facilitation. The focus of the course will include understanding basic mental health crisis, communication skills, situation and environmental tools, and personal care for crisis intervention workers. The course will practice crisis scenario responses, outline proper methods for intervention needs, and allow participants to become empowered in their understanding of crisis management.

Refund Policy

Individuals are responsible for canceling their registration should they not be able to attend. Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance. Cancellations received before the first day of class will receive a 100% refund. No refunds, in whole or in part, will be given on or after the first day of class. (Policy 900.920)

Instructor

Sarah McCann-Hardwick - received her Master of Science in Psychology from Walden University and is currently pursuing her PhD in Industrial Organizational Psychology. She has been teaching and researching in the field of Psychology for 15 years. Her emphasis in study is Business Psychology (Industrial Organizational), and her dissertation topic emphasized employee crisis care during COVID.  Her goal is to provide people with the skills and knowledge to help themselves and others process through crisis situations.
