Word 2021 – Level 1 (Self-paced Course)
Students will learn the functions of the Microsoft Word software as it is used in business and industry. This course covers:
- Using the ribbon interface
- Editing and formatting text
- Creating bulleted and numbered lists
- Using tables
- Using mail merge
- Inserting WordArt, clip art, themes, and styles
- Formatting pages
- Using footnotes, endnotes, captions, and templates
These courses are competency-based, allowing you to progress at your own pace as your schedule permits while demonstrating your skills and knowledge through a variety of assessments (assignments, concepts and skills reviews, and a final project).
Each course is designed to be completed in 30 calendar days. It takes discipline and determination to be successful in online coursework. You are in charge of your own progress.
To help you pace yourself through the course, you should develop a study schedule using the estimated course hours.
During this time you will have online access to quizzes, assignments, and correction keys. You will also have access to the Business Technology computer labs as needed.

Individuals are responsible for canceling their registration should they not be able to attend. Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance.
