Automation Electrical Troubleshooting
Description
This course will help students to solidify the basics of electricity and common electrical faults. Students will review the concepts of Voltage, Resistance, and Current using simulated and real-life circuits. They will review the equations of Ohms Law and show how the three parts relate. They will also learn about how common faults affect a circuit including loss of voltage, bad neutral pathways, broken components, and shorts to ground. They will learn the method for diagnosing these faults using the Bridgerland Troubleshooting Methodology in both real and simulated circuits. Students will receive a Bridgerland Troubleshooting Methodology booklet and a 4-month license of Simutech troubleshooting software.
