Intellectual Property Basics for Small Businesses
Description
Intellectual Property Basics for Small Businesses will describe the four different kinds of intellectual property (patents, trademarks, copyright protection, and trade secrets) and explain how a small (or large) business can use each type of intellectual property to protect, grow, and market their business in Utah and around the world. The course will start with a 40 presentation, with examples, of strategies to protect your business' intellectual property, and end with a Q&A session for those who have questions.
Refund Policy
Individuals are responsible for canceling their registration should they not be able to attend. Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance. Cancellations received before the first day of class will receive a 100% refund. No refunds, in whole or in part, will be given on or after the first day of class.

Instructor
David Beardall is a patent and trademark who lives here in Cache Valley. He graduated law school in 2012 and has worked at major computer equipment companies and at boutique IP law firms. David grew up in New Mexico, attended college in Utah, and law school in Moscow, ID. An avid fly fisherman, David loves to get out on the Logan and Blacksmith Fork rivers with his children.
