This 4-week course is ideal for aspiring photographers who want to master the fundamentals of digital photography. Whether you are aiming to go professional or simply improve your hobby, this class will guide you step by step.
Students will build confidence with camera settings, learn essential photography terms, and explore different shooting styles—creating a strong foundation for capturing stunning images.
- Mastering the essentials: shutter speed, aperture, and ISO
- Understanding essential photography terms and what they mean
- Camera modes overview and when to use each mode
- Composition techniques, including using angles for standout photos
- Hands-on practice with real-time feedback during live sessions
- DSLR or mirrorless camera with manual controls
- Smartphones and point-and-shoot cameras are not suitable for this class
- No prior photography experience required

Erin is a contributor to Photofocus and has spoken at photography conferences. She enjoys educating and inspiring others through practical instruction and creative exploration.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Individuals are responsible for canceling their registration should they not be able to attend. Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance. Cancellations received before the first day of class will receive a 100% refund. No refunds will be given on or after the first day of class. (Policy 900.920)
