American Heart Association – Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor Course

The American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor Course is designed for individuals who want to further their EMS or medical career and/or have a strong desire to help educate the community.

Students will learn how the American Heart Association operates its BLS courses, including current guidelines and how courses are structured and delivered.

Course Requirements
  • Students must have a current BLS CPR card
  • Instructor certification is valid for two years

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose.

Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the American Heart Association.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Individuals are responsible for canceling their registration should they not be able to attend. Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance. Cancellations received before the first day of class will receive a 100% refund. No refunds will be given on or after the first day of class. (Policy 900.920)
