Slice, Dice & Preserve: Knif Skills in Action

There’s nothing more essential in the kitchen than confidence with a knife. In this hands-on evening class, you’ll learn the fundamentals of knife skills that every home cook and aspiring chef should know.

We’ll explore common kitchen knives, how they’re designed, what they’re best used for, and how proper technique improves safety, speed, and precision. Then we’ll put those skills into action by practicing classic knife cuts while preparing vegetables for pickling.

This relaxed, skill-focused class is designed to help you feel more comfortable and capable in the kitchen. You’ll leave with practical techniques, a better understanding of your tools, and vegetables you’ve prepped yourself—ready to preserve and enjoy.
