Food Service Manager Certification
Food Service Manager Certification & Proctoring
All businesses selling food to the public in Utah are required to have a trained food service manager certification. This course and proctoring option helps individuals meet that requirement.
Proctoring is available for students who have previously taken the exam or completed training through another entity.
- Internet-based course
- Average completion time: approximately 20 hours
- Includes a 2-hour proctored exam at Bridgerland Technical College
- Proctoring is scheduled by appointment
The State of Utah recognizes seven approved food safety manager certifications. Bridgerland Technical College is able to proctor exams for the following two:
- National Registry of Food Safety Professionals
- National Restaurant Association (ServSafe)

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Individuals are responsible for canceling their registration should they not be able to attend. Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance. Cancellations received before the first day of class will receive a 100% refund. No refunds will be given on or after the first day of class. (Policy 900.920)
