Lightroom Classic: Advanced Editing & Creative Control

This 4-week course is designed for photographers who already understand the basics of Lightroom Classic and are ready to dive deeper into creative control, retouching techniques, and advanced editing tools.

Whether you are looking to streamline your workflow or push your creativity further, this class will help you develop a faster process, a stronger eye for color and detail, and a portfolio of polished images.

What You’ll Learn
  • Advanced editing tools in the Develop module
  • Retouching techniques for portraits and landscapes
  • Creative color grading and intentional use of presets
  • Smarter exporting and backup strategies
  • Hands-on editing with real-time feedback and tips
Requirements
  • Laptop (Mac or PC)
  • Lightroom Classic installed and ready to use (not Lightroom Mobile)
  • Basic Lightroom experience or completion of a Beginner Lightroom class

This class is hands-on and fast-paced, making it ideal for photographers ready to fine-tune their editing workflow and develop a more intentional personal style.

Instructor: Erin Holmstead

Erin Holmstead is a beauty and commercial portrait photographer based in Utah, originally from Kentucky, with over 10 years of professional experience. Her work focuses on storytelling, emotion, and pushing creative boundaries.

As a contributor to Photofocus and a frequent speaker at photography conferences, Erin is passionate about educating and inspiring photographers to grow their skills and creative confidence.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Individuals are responsible for canceling their registration should they not be able to attend. Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance. Cancellations received before the first day of class will receive a 100% refund. No refunds will be given on or after the first day of class. (Policy 900.920)
