Safety Inspection (CE)
Safety Inspection Certification
Bridgerland Technical College’s Safety Inspection course is a 16-hour class approved by the Utah Highway Patrol. Available certifications include: Passenger Vehicles/Light Trucks and Motorcycles or Heavy Trucks, Trailers, and Buses.
This course includes classroom instruction, shop work, specialty tool training, and dedicated study time to prepare for the state-mandated final exam.
Upon completion of the program, participants must achieve a score of 80% or higher on both the final examination and the performance checklist.
Individuals who successfully complete the training will receive their application for submission to the Utah Highway Patrol – Department of Public Safety, which will issue the official certification.
Attendance Requirement: State-mandated attendance is 100%. Anyone arriving more than 10 minutes late for class will be required to re-enroll in a future course.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Individuals are responsible for canceling their registration should they not be able to attend. Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance. Cancellations received before the first day of class will receive a 100% refund. No refunds will be given on or after the first day of class.
