Medical Assistant- High School
Students are prepared to become competent, entry-level medical assistants in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (learning) domains. Emphasis is placed on the role of the Medical Assistant, professionalism, medical law, and communications. Content also includes infection control, basic laboratory concepts, and administration as well as clinical Medical Assistant skills. High school students transitioning to the adult program will be required to submit to a background check when they turn 18.
