Fostering Accountability and Empowering Employees (July 2024)
Description
In any organization, there is a disconnect between the vision of leaders and the execution of employees. If our employees are not performing at the level we expect, leaders are left to wonder. Was the expectation communicated correctly? Are my employees just not motivated or engaged? Does anybody actually care? Do my employees have the right skills to execute the vision?
The answers often have nothing to do with these questions, though. Research proves that most employees do care. Most employees genuinely want to do a fantastic job. However, most employees discover a disconnect in connecting the dots in their behavior to be accountable for the vision. Most employees report struggles in feeling the ability or authority to execute.
In this workshop, we’ll explore how to—
• Understand empowerment beyond simply adding extra responsibilities
• Balance the time and trust required to empower someone else
• Implement strategies to evaluate employee strengths
• Supporting employees through accountability
