Hazing Prohibition and Reporting
As outlined in Policy 536: Hazing Prohibition and Reporting, Bridgerland Technical College (BTECH) is committed to providing a safe and healthy campus environment for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors. In accordance with the Stop Campus Hazing Act and state law BTECH prohibits all forms of hazing.
The purpose of this policy is to define hazing and outline the procedures for reporting and adjudicating instances of hazing that may occur within the college community or between members of the college community.
This policy is not intended to prohibit legitimate educational, instructional, or training activities that are part of an approved BTECH course, program, curriculum, or public safety training requirement. Certain occupations, including but not limited to police, fire, emergency services, health sciences, trades, and other technical programs, may require physical activity, skill-based performance, simulations, drills, or other rigorous training exercises designed to meet recognized educational, licensure, certification, safety, or industry standards.
