Bridgerland Technical College

Academic Progress

Bridgerland Technical College offers “hands-on” training in a simulated work environment and expects students to demonstrate performance in school that leads to success in the workforce.

The college has established an estimated length in months for a student to finish a program. Students must maintain adequate progress, both in terms of credits and time, toward graduation. A monthly progression rate is expected that will allow the student to graduate within 100 percent of the published program length. Students whose progress exceeds 150 percent of the program length or the defined course exit date are subject to academic sanctions.

Students must maintain academic progress standards as determined by their program of enrollment or as defined by federal financial aid eligibility requirements. It's important to note that sponsors, scholarships, and veteran benefits may also influence a student’s academic progress requirements. Students enrolled in programs whose standards exceed school policy, or students receiving financial support dictating certain standards must adhere to the higher standard.

For more information about the college’s academic progress requirements, review Policy 616: Academic Progress (policy page). Program-specific requirements may also apply and are described on individual BTECH program pages. Students who receive federal student aid must meet satisfactory academic progress standards that are at least as strict as those required by the college; for additional details, see Policy 703: Satisfactory Academic Progress (policy page).
