Certificate Description

The Real Estate program is state-approved and designed to prepare you to pass the licensing exams in the State of Utah.

Real Estate is a career with financial rewards geared to your personal goals, motivation, and determination.

Licensing
The following are requirements for obtaining a Sales Agent License:

  • Be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
  • Complete a 120-hour pre-licensing course and pass school exam.
  • Obtain the affidavit required by the Division of Real Estate stamped by Bridgerland Technical College, signifying successful completion of course.
  • Score a minimum of 70 percent (agent) on the State of Utah and National exams.

The Bridgerland Technical College Real Estate Program and its instructors are licensed by the Utah Division of Real Estate.

Please note: Students are under no obligation to affiliate with any brokerages that may be soliciting for agents at Bridgerland Technical College.

Additional Requirements

The applicant for a sales agent license must be at least 18 years old. Students must purchase books.

All students applying for a sales agent license will be required to submit to the Division, with their applications, fingerprint cards that will be used in a criminal background check. Any student with a criminal history may: 1) not qualify for a sales agent license, or 2) may be required to appear at a hearing before the Utah Real Estate Commission and the Director of the Division of Real Estate to seek approval for a license. There is no guarantee that such an applicant will be approved for a sales agent license.
