Information Technology
This program provides education and training in preparation for employment in Information Technology. Throughout the program, students apply classroom theory to computer hardware and software, mobile devices, operating systems, networking, security, cloud technology, and other technologies relevant to the industry. Through a combination of simulations, hands-on labs and virtual labs, students will apply techniques for technology deployment, support, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This training can be used as a step to gain valuable industry-recognized certifications which may include CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST), Microsoft, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Linux, and more.

- Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities aligning with standards for industry certifications.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot common hardware and software.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot operating systems.
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication using industry-specific terminology.

Admissions
Complete the Certificate-Seeking Application below. College admission policy requires a student to have a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent.

Programmatic Requirements
Students will receive additional pre-enrollment programmatic requirements, if applicable, via email. If you have not received this email within 24 business hours, please check your spam or junk mail folders.
Complete IT Fundamentals (ITEC0995) with a B- or better. This 30-hour course allows students to develop a broader understanding of Information Technology and determine if a career in this field is right for them. Students must attend a course orientation at 8 a.m. for the first class. Students must attend 15 hours per week. If you attended BTECH as a high school student, you may be able to waive the preadmission course with your grades. Contact a Student Success Advisor for more information.

Enrollment and Registration
Once the programmatic requirements have been completed, the next step is to meet with a Student Services Representative to complete your enrollment. You will declare your starting date, enrolled hours, and set up your payment schedule.
The first month's payment or completed Financial Aid is required at enrollment. No appointment is necessary.

The Process
- BTECH receives your FAFSA record.
- Financial Aid emails you instructions to create a VerifyMyFafsa account.
- You submit the required documentation.
- You complete enrollment with BTECH.
- Financial Aid emails a link to schedule a required Financial Aid Offer meeting.
- Pell Grant is disbursed (if eligible).

The Process
- Soft deadline: the 5th of each month.
- BTECH gathers applications submitted during the previous month.
- The Scholarship Committee reviews each application.
- BTECH evaluates available funds.
- Award results are typically sent within 4–6 weeks.
- If awarded, you receive a link to schedule a meeting to accept the award.
- BTECH disburses scholarship funds.
